Stana Arandic is standing on the stairs.

Always a smile on her face

Everyone at the resort knows her laugh. Stana Arandic is always in good spirits. You will never see her without a smile on her face. Swiss with Bosnian roots, Arandic and her husband came to this country more than 30 years ago, and they have made their home here. With their two children, they know they belong here.

« We are a family, and that is noticeable within the company.»

Stana Arandic, Cleaning crew

Stana’s first job at the Grand Resort was as a babysitter, and she offers this service to this day. Whenever a guest wants their little ones in good hands, Stana is there. The children love the warm-hearted carer, and many parents vanished into thin air for the duration of their stay once Stana entered the scene. Every day, the fifty-year-old spreads her jovial energy among colleagues and guests. She keeps the building neat and tidy and knows its every corner like the back of her own hand. With her team of cleaners, she patrols the halls and corridors of the Grand Resort virtually unnoticed to make sure every square metre is spotless.

In her free time, Stana enjoys studying languages. She has successfully taught herself Italian and is currently working on English. She regularly attends language classes and spends every free minute practicing and revising. Looking back on her time at the hotel, she remembers many important events, from the demolition and rebuilding of the old Quellenhof to the construction of the Spa Suites Tower and the Tamina Therme. “I was here before the Quellenhof was rebuilt and before the Tower and the Tamina Therme appeared.” A lot has changed, but one thing hasn’t – and never will: “I love this place. I love the people in it and all my colleagues,” she says. “This is my home.”
