Chef Erika joined the Grand Resort in the early 1990s. “Even then, I was a part of a dream team of women at a time when all-female teams were not exactly usual,” Bechter recalls about her first years with the company.

« Here I can contribute my ideas and develop myself.»
It did not take her long to find her bearings and make herself at home in the frequently rough-and-tumble world of professional cookery. She is particularly grateful to her boss, Renato Wüst. “We are a family, and Renato and the management always made that clear,” Becher explains.
And the high performance needed every day would be impossible without this motivating environment. Erika Bechter would choose her occupation again and again: “Being a chef is such a wonderful job. I’ve always been fascinated by the possibilities this work has opened up for me.” The opportunity to work in a leading company in her industry, she says, has been a gift. “There are the high standards to which I am held every day, on the one hand, and the daily opportunities to improve and advance, contribute my own ideas and forge new paths, on the other hand.” That is what makes working at the Grand Resort so unique. A big smile spreads over her friendly face when she speaks about the young talent entering “her” profession. “It is my absolute passion to show them that our work has a future, especially in this particular company,” Bechter tells us.
